Did you know that Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention month is February? "One in three adolescents in the US is a victim of physical, sexual, emotional, or verbal abuse from a dating partner, a figure that far exceeds rates of other types of youth violence" (Love is Respect, 2013). In this workshop teen dating violence/sexual assault warning signs and risk factors will be identified, techniques/supports for youth workers will be discussed, and teen survivor advocacy strategies will be reviewed.
